The headline numbers
Part B now starts at $202.90 per month with a $283 annual deductible. The Part A hospital deductible is $1,736 per benefit period, and daily coinsurance for long stays runs $434 for days 61 through 90.
Higher incomes still pay IRMAA surcharges on Parts B and D, based on your tax return from two years back.
The big one: the $2,100 drug cap
Part D out-of-pocket spending is now capped at $2,100 per year. Hit the cap and your covered prescriptions cost nothing for the rest of the year. For anyone on expensive medications, this single change can be worth thousands.
You can also elect to smooth drug costs into level monthly payments instead of paying at the pharmacy counter, a quiet option many people still do not know exists.
What it means for your plan choice
Cost updates shift the balance between plans every single year. A Part D plan that was the cheapest for your medication list last year may not be this year, and Advantage out-of-pocket maximums moved too.
This is why an annual review exists. Bring us your plan and your prescription list once a year, and we will tell you whether staying put or switching saves you money. It is free either way.
